Marquita and Tawnie met in KY through their volunteer work with their kids' sports teams. The two dedicated mothers bonded through their love of food and discovered they had a lot in common.  Both of these bayou mamas were raised down south in the boot, also known as Louisiana. Their love for comforting others through Cajun Cuisine and Southern Comfort foods is unmatched. The two found a common interest in their desire to not only cook for others but also the importance of health and fitness, especially for Women. With Marquita’s experience in fitness and life coaching, as well as Tawnie's experience in the food industry and her own personal journey with weight loss,  a question was asked, “How can we cook the food we love but also help provide personable, inclusive, and encouraging health and fitness coaching?”
Cajun Charm is their answer. Through their Catering, they provide authentic southern cajun cuisine that tastes like it was made from Grandma's Hands. While the meal prep provides healthy, creative options as well as basic meals, for any stage of someone’s fitness journey.

Whether you need catering services for your wedding or office party, or you’re working towards that summer beach body, or just looking for savory, healthy portioned meals, Cajun Charm is here to serve all your culinary needs.

Marquita London (Owner)

Marquita “Pinky” London is a New Orleans native who has been an avid competitor her entire life. She was introduced to Track and Field at the age of 5 and quickly fell in love with the sport, receiving several honors and accolades over the years such as indoor and outdoor Louisiana State Track & Field titles and numerous AAU Jr. Olympic awards. At the tender age of 15, she was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s Disease. After 2 years of radiation and chemotherapy, Marquita still went on to compete at the collegiate level. Although her battle with cancer eliminated her future Olympic goals Marquita still persevered and acquired a full athletic scholarship to a Division I University.

In 2011 Marquita was introduced to Muay Thai by her childhood friend and now husband, James London, owner of Apex Martial Arts Academy in Shepherdsville KY. She then began her journey in mixed martial arts and has since competed in BJJ, Kickboxing, MMA, and traditional Muay Thai. In 2015 Marquita had some complications in the middle of the 2nd round of a Muay Thai fight that led to her first Open Heart Surgery procedure. In 2018 another procedure was done to replace her Aortic valve. Through these experiences, Marquita has developed a keen understanding of what it truly takes to live a healthy lifestyle. Living with Congestive Heart Failure and Stage 3 Chronic Kidney Disease challenged her to take control of her diet and inspired her to share that knowledge with others.

This motivated Marquita to get her certification as a Certified Professional Coach specializing in Life Coaching as well as Youth/Family Coaching. She has performed speaking engagements with the Fiery Women’s Empowerment and the “Go Red for Women” campaign with the American Heart Association. Marquita has spent the last decade coaching high school, middle school, and elementary Track & Field and is extremely eager to help athletes achieve excellence by utilizing her wealth of knowledge and experience. Her exceptional speaking and coaching methods have been featured in “Coach’s Corner with Louisville Women’s Sports” as well as “Today’s Woman Magazine”. This wife and mother of 6 is diligent in making healthy living effortless for others.

Through her lifelong issues with health Marquita has gained an abundance of understanding and personal insight on healthy habits.  She is no stranger to the obstacles that we face in life. Her life experiences with health have propelled her to help others overcome adversity in any capacity that she can so that they may live and lead their best life.
